London Scud Run 2008

Date: [/B]Sunday 18th May 2008

Time: 9:00am

Meet location: A secret location in Central London. Details to be provided later.

Invited: Sorry Ferrari's & Lambo's only this time

What's a scud run? : Named in hounour of Gibbsa & Stewart430's recent purchase of the 430 Scuderia.

Schedule:

- Meet up at 09:00am at Belgrave square

- Leave at 10:00am for a lunch destination

- Cruise through central london and on the way have a look at some of the sights

- Rendevous at lunch venue

Secret phot shoot: If there are a few brave drivers out there, we could try a quick photoshoot at a famous landmark. I've checked with a local copper and he said we could get away with it.

Video filming
If the weatehr is good, I'll be filming the meet. So make sure your cars are clean!!!

Please note:

As in all meets. we'll probably end up leaving 30 minutes later. Please try and come on time.

This is not a convoy. .As many people do not know teh route to the lunch venue (to be decided on the day), they will ahve to follow me. However, I might get lost and we may end up driving around a few London Squares a couple of times.

PS. There may be some of you who are coming for the first time. Please don't be shy and just walk up and say hi to everyone. I'll be the one with the video camera.

Please do not speed or drive recklessely. We don't want anyone stressing about getting points on their licence. Ths is a fun day for everyone. Belive me, having a load of ferarri's in a traffic jam is great fun.

Recognise quite a bit of that route, London at night is a fantastic drive, I do it often. Along the embankment is a fave, and if you time it right, up through Eaton Square (from Sloane Square), right onto Grosvenor Place, burn off the lights and around the 'S' at Hyde Park Corner on to the Park Lane Straight, time the lights and change down into Cumberland Gate around Marble Arch and then either Right towards Bayswater Road or Left into Oxford Street and then either back down Park Lane (if it looks fun) or straight and left into Portman St, Gloucester Place, Marylebone Road...

It sounds like a great run. If it was in June I would try to make it but May is a scheduling disaster already.
