Have you been to London? If you have, have you been through Edgware Road, that's where I'm originally from. |

No sorry, haven't been to LOndon for a couple of yrs. I wouldn't take the car anyway. Leics to St Pancrass is only an hour on the train and probably cheaper than Red Kens silly congestion charge

| I live in New England, does that count? It used to be part of England.

Pete, feel free to join in with the Brits, there aren't many of us on this site so New Engalnd is good enough for me. Anyway most of our US cousins have probably got British or Euro DNA from way back in time.

| They're talking about doing it in leicester too. They are a prettty militant bunch of left wing loonies here, so there's a good chance it will happen soon. They'll probably ban the car unless if has CO2 emissions of less than 80 as well

I used to work with this one Brit over in China and Vietnam and when we were out drinking he'd always chat up the the ladies and ask if they had any English in them. When they responded no he would say, "Would you like some?" Capt. Pete '79 308 GTS, '82 Jeep CJ7 Jamboree "Time is what prevents everything from happening all at once." | |

You don't live in a democracy. The UK government is a constitutional monarchy; a system of government in which a monarch is guided by a constitution whereby his/her rights, duties, and responsibilities are spelled out in written law or by custom. The USA government is a constitution-based federal republic with a strong democratic tradition; a state in which the powers of the central government are restricted and in which the component parts (states, colonies, or provinces) retain a degree of self-government; ultimate sovereign power rests with the voters who chose their governmental representatives. I don't think there is any such thing as a true democracy. It seems that everywhere you go there is a small group of people deciding what is best for everyone. Capt. | I think you should change the last word there to 'themselves'. That would be a fairly accurate representation of British politics.

Greetings Dave, welcome to the forum, and Happy St George's Day. BTW, nice Escort rally car, had a look at the pics on your website. Awesome. Much better than these modern Jap rally cars with their 4WD and computerised everything Although the most fun I've ever had in a car was in an Evo 6 driving it sideways on the skid pan at Jonathan Palmer's in Bedford

Yep - I find this a really nice site with none of the, ahem, issues that occur on the other two! BTW that's a lovely looking Mondy you've got. Last edited by alsaautomotive; 04-24-2007 at 12:18 AM. |
