Came across this custom TR. Think I prefer the original shape. |

I would have to agree that I like the original shape better also. Chris “ To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.”-Anatole France "Dude, it's just math"-Pete |

looks like a Noble, i.e., looks like a kit car the original Pininfarina design is much better IMHO "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." - J. P. Kennedy |

That was a TR that was rebodied as an homage to the 1970 512M race car

I guess guys that do that kind of work to cars don't have to worry about resale. The odds of that person finding another person that thinks his sense of "cool" is the same as his, is pretty astronomical. There was a 308 on Ebay a while back that looked really nice until you saw the huge chrome speaker grills cut into the doors. Makes me groan when I see that kind of thing |

I have a pair of custom TRs 1 is a straman 512M The other is a 92 512TR race car. She has a Koenig body, weighs 2800, stock engine w Motech ignition and 505 hp on 110 octane, Bob Wallace race trans, fuel cell, penske shocks, full cage, F50 brakes, slicks, and stax instruments I have a spare engine that I will be rebuilding to make 600 hp then I want to redo the body and some other bits in carbon fiber and see if I can drop the weight down to 2700 She does 0:58s at Lime Rock and 2:10 at Watkins Glen Last edited by William H; 11-03-2008 at 09:30 AM. |
