Default TR headrest removal - need help please

Looking to re-install sheepskin seat covers but I need to remove the headrests.

I did this 10 years ago, but can't recall how to remove the headrests.

Any advice?

Al, I believe there's just a spring clip that grabs notches in the head rest posts to keep it in place. I believe you should be able to simply pull up it pull it out of the seat back. Surely more easily said than done.

You need to remove the backside cover of the seat's backrest first. There is one small screw in the middle at the underside of this cover. If the screw is removed, you can slide the cover downwards. You now can see the inside of the backrest.

The heatrest is secured with 2 spring clips (as ESCofVirginia says). If you want to remove the headrests, you first have to remove these spring clips. Then you can pull the headrests out.

You guys are brutal. Probably should not throw stones either because I've got compromising photos of your cars. wink-wink

TR seats aren't heated, so the cheepskins are the way to go for winter driving.

Wait to you see the snow chains I got for the beast.

I got spoiled driving the Bimmer w/heated seats last winter.

Surely your head would hit the roof if you have half an inch of wool under ya butt? I know my TR is lacking head room.

Al,

If you wore something else besides a T-shirt, or grew a little more back hair, you wouldn't get cold...
