Default Does anybody keep a FAQ or list of helpfull sites?

I've have an empty spot in my garage and I'm smitten with the Testarossa. I'm thinking of buying one this spring. Until then I would like to learn everything I can. I plan on doing most of the maintenance work myself so technical information would be especially helpful. How about links to magazine articles? What are the best places besides Ferrari Life to hang out? Youtube clips!?

How about California emissions testing? If I buy the car from out of state will I have problems getting it to pass emissions?

Reply here or send me a PM.

Thanks

David,

First, welcome to the site. With a high percentage of owners, you'll find plenty of information to help you. I'd say start with the Buyer's Guide. For Ferrari links, I think Mike Sheehan's site has one of the more comprehensive lists.

The smog question will depend on what year the car is and where it came from. You'll need more specifics about the car to get more than general info.

Again, welcome.

Don't forget BRIAN and his white TR. Not to mention been searching old threads of TRs in general.

Thanks everyone, this is great information. At first glance the Testarossa appears to be DIY friendly. I would be the type of owner that would pull the engine out myself to do the cam belt service.

I am in the Bay Area too. If it is a US model, in good condition and all emission equipment intact, passing CA smog is a slam dunk.

In fact if all those conditions are met they run so clean that many see the report and think some fraud is being commited.
