Default Supports lugagge compartment TR

I have to replace the supports for my luggage compartment, because the do not work at all anymore (number 19 on picture below).

As per the parts manual I have to replace them with part number 61496700. Unfortunately they are no longer available anymore.

I can also replace them by Sachs part number S2SG437003, but they are also not available here in Europe.

The parts manual is also showing part number 61571600, which can be used from car nr 76001. Does anybody know wheter I can use this support for my car?

Peter- There is probably an equivalent to these guys in Europe. A custom strut as an interim fix and having your original repaired would solve your problem.

StrutWise sells, repairs, refurnbishes, custom designs gas struts in US,Canada, worldwide.

Normally both prior replies would be good advice but....

OE struts were a disaster and rebuilding them OR duplicating them is a waste of time. T Rutlands sells a strut from a different application that actually works.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the tip. I'll check their website.

I saw that the ones that are mounted now are from Stabilus Lift-O-Mat. But they do not have any resistance at all anymore.

Don't bother with websites, almost anyones. Ricambi's is pretty good but most are just info transcribed from the books and full of errors and disinformation. Also the prices are changing so fast it makes them nearly useless. Talk to a real live human.
