Today I bought a '91 Black Testarossa. Car has 13k miles and is perfect. Evans Automotive gave their stamp of approval and I should have car tomorrow. Can't wait. Need cat bypass pipes ASAP. Car is way too quiet. I'm so excited...this has been a lifelong quest. I am dedicating the car to my late grandfather. He loved Ferraris and always wanted me to buy one....sorry you couldn't see this one Pap!!

Congratulations man, sounds like a great car. George does great work up there, I'm sure it's as good as he says. Be sure to post up some photos and first impressions when it arrives!

Here you go guys. I'm on the fence about driving the car home to Pittsburgh. About a 3.5hr drive. Car hasn't been driven much lately. I shot myself in the foot here...sold my Kodiak hauler two days ago...so nothing to pull the trailer with. Might just throw the AAA card in my wallet and roll the dice!!! Who's got a deal on some cat deletes for me???? Gotta wake this thing up a little.

YES! Please drive it home... it will be one of those experiences you won't soon forget. 3.5 hours isn't that long. I drove mine home from Charleston SC to Severn MD and it was one of the best trips of my life. 9 hours up rural roads that parallelled 95 at a somewhat quickened paced while my Dad ran cop interference in front of me. Drive the beast - ![]() It's a clean great looking TR just needs some miles. I have been on some aggressive runs and a few with a TR that handled pretty well in the twisties and ran strong in the open road. At the first stop he started doing spins in the parking lot - car is built to run. |

Congrats and try to make a trip to the DC area to hang with us local chimps! Black looks great on the TR! BTW, I did the pre-cat and cat deletes and added a tubi on my TR. Richard at Competezione did all the work, including brake upgrade to F-40 Brembos and 18 inch wheels. Richard is located in MD and is a F-Life sponsor. PM me if you want to pimp the car with a carbon fiber heat shield and carbon fiber & glass engine cover so you can see the engine w/o lifting the cover. First off - CONGRATS!! You are going to love your TR. You didn't say how long it has been sitting. Please have a good look at the tires and the condition of the hoses/belts before driving it home. Would hate for you to have a blowout or grenade the engine. Also, you might have them drain the fuel tanks and blow them out...my TR had sat so long the fuel had turned to vinegar. Open the gas cap and take a whiff...you'll know right away! |

Tires were new in 09. Last major done 2k ago in 01. I realize the time is up, but all looked good on inspection. Fresh fluids and battery as well. She will be fine I'm sure...

| +1, some of my most memorial drives have been in a newly purchased Ferrari. Great way to bond with the car quickly.
