The simple answer is that the top dogs that are buying these cars are actually doing well in this economy. It's the people that by fords that are hurting. Pretty sure i saw luxury sales are strong across the board. don't know if they are actually investing or purchasing for pleasure. Probably investing. some of these ferraris have quite a nice uptick in the last 4 years of recession. Everything you know is wrong Stop chatting and start living the ferrarilife! |

The elephant in the room is not the same elephant in the US. Dealers in the states used to make someone buy a used Ferrari to get on the new Ferrari wait list. Times have changed so dealers are making up whatever story required to sell metal. Who knows what is being said behind closed doors - I was offered a GTO and the reasons were completely different than I assumed prior. In the US the dealers control where their allocations end up - maybe it's different everywhere else and maybe that is why Ferrari is instrumenting a "in crowd" list. Irregardless - no one buys a million dollar modern Enzo car because they are looking for ROI or a safe investment. If you want to go back to the guys who bought them at 650k fine but not a 2nd or 3rd owner ... IMO bs! Taxes insurance maintenance storage - this is not a investment - this is a look what I bought. Why a buyer picks the Enzo is so individually based unless you are "that buyer / owner" it's unknown. I still feel that people who want the latest and greatest view the Enzo as a necessary step in the FNA world of progression. |
