Incidentally, if I have any extra panels, I give them to Robbie so he has stock to exchange. That reminds me, I have an extra A/C vent and a pair of sills to send to him. I replaced my sills with a bargain set of OEM CF sills.

Soooo. I can mail you my stuff and you'll either fix or swap for a charge?

If so, how much for a swap on the buttons.. I have Ricambi's graphic overlay on the HVAC, but never seem to have the time to do.

Say I send to you for either your inventory as in swap or ???

...HVAC is a bit diff. as electronics in there. Buttons, are just plastic bits and seem a bit more straightfwd

Just a quick story about Robbie & his great service.

I recently decided to banish the last of the sticky interior pieces in my car. Its interior was "partially" destickied by Robbie, via the dealer, just before I bought it in 2010, but the rest of the pieces were long overdue. So I sent him all 5 eyeball vents, the 3 light switches in the overhead console, the mirror/hazard control panel fascia plate, the little storage bin in the console, the two triangles for the side mirrors, the HVAC panel, and my hood release.

At my request, and because the car needed to go in for HVAC service, Robbie turned the urgent pieces (HVAC & hood release) around in less than 24 hours and overnighted them back to me so the other work on the car could move forward.

The quality was superb on all pieces; I really had thought the knobs on the HVAC panel and the overhead light switches were beyond hope, but he made them like new again - in fact much better looking than new.

It wasn't cheap (albeit a LOT less than new pieces), but the quality of the work will still be there well after I've forgotten what the cost was.

High mileage, low compression, and missing on a few cylinders.....just like my cars.

If you have ever tried to strip that stuff off, cheap is the word you would use. I have no idea how he does it in a cost effective manner but I am perfectly happy to let him keep his secret.

He is a very valuable resource and I for one hope he is making a bundle.

We have a TR. Last of the no sticky part Ferrari's.

Yes, a few years ago I destickied one of my Japanese hotrod's interiors. And yes, it's a royal PITA stripping that stuff off. Finding the right solvent that'll effectively take the stuff off without an inordinate amount of rubbing, scraping, or alternatively, melting the underlying plastic and peeling your skin back is one of the keys. So now, after having done it, and knowing what it takes, where I really admire Robbie and his work is where he's able to clean the goo from one surface while keeping adjacent surfaces and coatings intact, including the painted on indications, arrows, avatars, etc. That and being able to mask & protect those surfaces and finishes when he recoats the freshly destickied surface; this is where the value of his service really shows, IMO.
