A document I wrote on Ferrari batteries. Note no recommendation of Optima batteries in this document. After Johnson Controls bought Optima and moved production to Mexico, there have been too many instances of reported failures. Optima says the failures are the result of the batteries being deep discharged enough to where a normal battery charger will not charge them. Who cares? A dead battery an owner cannot recharge is a dead battery.

Note the two AGM batteries have really outstanding performance and are leak-proof, but warranties are way less than on the Interstates, 36 months and 60 months for Odyssey and Braille vs 85 months and up to a 30 month free replacement on the Interstates.
