Default Wire Wheel Restorations

Has anyone gone through the process of getting their Borrani wire wheels restored or would you rather just get brand new wheels?

I do not own a car with wires but I do advise clients on the topic.

On the vintage cars I prefer repairing original pieces to replacement whenever it is financially realistic consistant with a high quality job.

That philosophy really only applies to parts you can see. Internal parts I go with the newest, best technology.

How often do you hear people saying that Borrani is out of business and doesn't make wire wheels anymore?

I do not believe it has ever come up in conversation but I wouldn't pay much attention if someone told me Elvis was alive either.
