Just doing my usual browse and came across this on eBay. Seems cheap for a 348. I know that some people (including me in the past) have been less than complimentary about the 348, but at this money it looks like a good buy, and I love the colour combo.

Edit - just looked at the advert again and it's LHD. Would be Ok for the FL trip around Europe, but not so good driving on the twisty back lanes in the UK. But it is cheap, yes it is cheap, and I reckon I could knock a few quid of the asking price, and when it's time to sell I reckon I could make a profit if I sold it in the Euro market. Do you reckon I can convince Mrs G?

I've always been fond of the 348. It looks nice in blue and that is a equally beautiful price I would look into it....remember when trying to convince Mrs. G, it is an investment....not a toy

Some things to be aware of

2.5 motronic
twin clutch model (I think)
Headers discolored (indicates High Heat, possible cat issue)
What is that shi...stuff hanging down from the bonnet
TB does not fit people greater than 6' very comfortably.
need some undercarrage shots...I expect leaks.

Lighting is poor in those photos. Given that there are a few other questions
Odd looking reflection on B pillar view from rear
Engine compartment looks just OK...
Interior shots indicate some issues but I can't really see it well.

Are you considering this car Arch or just noticing

I always get my pillars wrong. B pillar is rear passenger side, I think?

I believe it is, because the A pillar is on the front.

Lane, not really. I just like to keep my eye open and see what's around, I was like this for a couple of years before I bought the 328.

TBH it's not really what I want, LHD is a factor that puts me off. In the past I have been advised to avoid early 348's and only look at later 93/4 GTS/GTB/GTC or spiders with the uprated 320 BHP engines.
Buying on eBay also worries me as there's no comeback if it goes wrong a week later. I've always paid more and bought from reputable dealers in the past, as I'm not mechanically minded it's worth paying the extra for peace of mind.
I don't think there is such a thing as a cheap Ferrari, and whilst a dealers car may be more initially, I'd guess it would cost less to own in the long run.

If I were genuinely looking to spend in the region of £20K-£25K GBP on a car today, I would probably buy a 308 GTS as it would probably be more reliable and cheaper to maintain than a £20K 348.

However, I don't really want a 308 after having the 328, and as I don't have the funds for a 355/360 or 550 today, I'll just keep looking

So at the moment, I'm still looking.

Dear Comrade Archiegibbs,

You're in an enviable position - enjoying the present whilst looking forward to the future without recriminations over what has passeed. Indeed, it affords you great flexibility in that you have the choice to do as you please and continue to enjoy the luxurious choice of travelling in happy expectation for just as long as you wish. Great!

With kind regards,
