I know, I've owned 2!
I know about the motronic 2.7, dual MAP sensors and the above mentioned ability to delete the air injection pump and plumbing. Is there mooore?

That's about it - don't forget the unique airbox plumbing on the 95 which involves no "merging" just straight thru efficiency.

There's no real downside to a 95, if you can find one in good shape then snap it up. Some will caution you about valve guides and headers and while this is true it is also true to varying degrees with the other model years.

Also, no crazy factory alarm system that can leave you stranded. A better air intake routing that goes behind the C panel, vs. over the radiators as with the later years.
There's more, but I can't remember them all at the moment. All cars are prone to header failures, and while the later cars are less likely to have valve guide issues (mid 98 and above) they can still fail. I've personally seen late 99s with bronze guides that failed.

Everything you have heard is true.

That confirms what I've gathered thus far from lurking around here for a bit. Thank you for the info.
Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something useful myself someday soon.
