Default How do I sell my 328?

After a coupla of years fixing up my 1986 328 and enjoying it every so much, I have decided the Ferrari Life is really for me. Now I want to move up to a newer 8 cylinder like a 360-Spider.

Question, how have most guys had the best luck selling your older cars? I will post it here in the classified of course but wondering what other venues you have found to be the best values?

Thanks,

Welcome to Ferrari Life kimpearsonusa.

How you sell your 328 and where you advertise it will be dependent on your location. I'm assuming from your name you are based in the US?

Kim- Welcome and a good 328 should be easy to sell or trade towards a 360. They are perfect first time Ferraris, as you discovered.

How about a description of the car?

VIN, date of production, etc.

Thanks.

Most people I know who have sold their own Ferrari swore either after or in the middle of the process to never do it again. As long as you are planning on parlaying it into another Ferrari I would find someone in the Ferrari sales business you feel comfortable doing business with and consign it to them and have them look for your next car. They have far greater resources to do both. The great deals and the great cars change hands that way and are never advertised so your access to those cars on your own is nil.

No kidding Brian,

I assumed the best way to proceed as I have a really nice 328 would be to sell it and then go looking for the 360 I want with cash in hand.

You really think I could do better paying someone to sell it for me and then have them find a car that is for sale but not advertised anywhere? That just seems counter intuitive to me but I have never sold a Ferrari before. Although I did buy one

I have sold many other cars, houses, etc and have an advantage in the fact I am an airline pilot and can fly anywhere on my days off to look at cars I am interested in.

I went to look at 5 other 328's before I bought the one I have now. I really enjoy the road trip home with a new (to me) car as by the time I get home I have a real good understanding of what I have and what needs to be done to it to bring it up to my standards.

Any ideas on who I should contact?

Kim
