Default How to remove front trunk carpet?

My 348 ABS brake light came on and flashing code "22." I want to remove my front trunk carpet liner to access the ABS brake unit. Can anyone tell me step by step how to remove the front trunk carpet. Thanks.

ok here goes

First remove the rubber weathering strip.
Pay particular attention to how it fits around the bonnet hinges.

There are 4 screws holding down the bezel for the cold air intake which is located in the centre of the trunk.

In addition there should be anywhere between 4 and 8 small screws around the lip of the trunk cover. Remove those and run your finger around the trunk cover perimeter to make sure there are no more.

Look inside the trunk and you shall see 3 shaped strips almost halfway down the sidewall of the trunk.

They each have between 3 and 4 screws which are clearly visible.
Remove them noting the length of the rear screws.

You have now released all the fasteners and should be able to lift the top half of the trunk cover which will come out in one piece.
Needles to say try and handle it with due care and lift it "square" so as not to crack the sides, otherwise it is quite robust.

Did I mention welcome to FL

Post pictures if possible and tell us what you find wrong with the ABS.
btw code 2.2 indicates left front delivery/valve or connecting wire defective or defect in control unit
Check valve resistance and continuity also check wiring and connectors.

Ben- Welcome to Ferrari Life. If you have a Teves ABS system, there has been some good work done by the Thunderbird guys whose cars use the same system. Here is a sample.

Code 22

LH Front Inlet Valve (Disconnect 7 pin connector on Valve Block, measure resistance Pin 7-6, 5-8 ohms service harness, other reading replace valve block).

Taz: Gotta ask, I know the Mondis have ABS, and IIRC only a few in the 348's[?] series, but why would there be more than one type ABS to consider? Seems Ferrari would have stuck with one only.

PS: If this is a solid consideration for the Mondiall T's you rock on this find.

Mondial 348 and very early 355 up to 96 I think have the same system
97 onwards (in other words mid 96) they had a different version of the Teves system inclusive of anti skid control.

The early systems appear to be temperamental in some respects judging by the Ford guys.

I guess one of the reasons Ferrari decided to upgrade the system?
.
