Default Euro 308 GTS, carbed, how rare?

Hey guys,

I have been keeping my eyes open for an early euro 308 GTS, Besides the odd RHD I haven't seen any available. I've been looking at all the European and NA sites.

I'm in no rush, but I figured I would have seen something available.

Cheers

Sort of like this? Not that rare in Europe. They rusted like all get out, but all Ferraris of that vintage did.

Every day I look around, and if nobody is shooting at me, it is a pretty good day.

Default 308

one of your Canadian bretheren picked up a carbed 308 from Mike Sheehan of Ferraris online, i believe its in the middle of a ground up restoration, you might check with him as well as Craig Caldwell over at Fast Cars Redondo Beach formally Tillack and Co. 310 937 6700, they may have a line on something, i drove the car that was sold to Brett up in Canada, it was pretty solid, but a much different feel from my 328, good luck ,Brett Ps Symbolic Motor Cars La Jolla , Ca, might also be a good source, ask for Shawn, last time i was there , they had a sick 84 512 BBi in insanely good condition, for 119,000. just in case that tickles your fancy, it did mine, but ,you know,,lol

Thanks guys, I know they exist, just haven't found one yet. Not looking for a ground up, but not a dog either. No the 512 doesn't do it for me, they're nice but not my cup of tea. I need a stable mate for the euro gt4.

I'll give those guys a call.

Which sites are you looking at? There are normally at least 5-10 for sale in Germany & Italy at any time.

Try this:

Search Results: Cars on mobile.de

Handy words to know: VERGASER means carbs.

There are a couple GTS's on there.

I sold mine in November. It sold within a week of my placing the advert. The buyer did tell me he had looked at several over a period of six months and all had varying degrees of rust and poor bodywork repairs. I posted pictures here in the 308 members list. There are cars out there but it appears that it takes some time to find a good one.
