Default Ferrari GTSI build 1980?

Hi guys greetings from Germany,

I just bought A Ferrari 308 GTSI that was build 1980.
Can anyone tell me how many GTSI have been build in every year of production?
I have checked the VIn twice defiantly a GTSI build 1980. I don't have any pictures jet because the car is currently being shipped to me.
Great forum by the way!

TTK- Welcome to Ferrari Life. There were both 308 carbureted cars and injected models built in 1980. Cannot give you a break-out by years, but 494 GTBi models were built total and 1743 GTSi models. Production was limited in time to about 2 years and replaced by the QVs in 1982/3.

Brian Crall is writing a book on the 308s, and maybe he can provide some more information. The first US owners manual for the GTSi was Number 186/80, and the European equivalent would have been published before the US version in 1980, showing Ferrari was indeed manufacturing the GTB/GTSis in 1980.

TTK, Congrats on the purchase. I'm sure you've already looked at Vitalone's post about his 308 GTSi driving impressions, Driving impressions: 308 GTSi

On the 308 GTB Register website it says that from 1980 to 1983 the production of the 308 GTSi was 1,743 units (s/n 31309 — 43079)
Welcome to the 308 GTB Register

Thanks, for your warm welcoming!

I'll be sure to post Pictures and a video when the car arrives.
Can't wait to drive it through Hamburg (in Germany).
