Has anyone ever laid eyes on, or, placed a Glass top on the GTS in a 355 ? I really hope to have this option in the near future. Here are two photos of the current top, it's the vinyl and I'm hoping for a tinted glass encased in black, lightweight metal. Thanks in advance. Sounds bad-ass. Can't wait to see if you can find what you're looking for. I know there are companies out there that will make a carbon fiber version for you. My research was that it would cost anywhere from $1,500-3,000 depending on who you source it from. Let me know if you want to sell your vinyl topped panel. I kinda like the idea (& look) myself but my car came with a top that had been stripped and painted to match. |

Voila- Just make sure you tint it heavily or have an IR coating or it will turn the inside into an oven.

Cool idea. Funny actually that I've never heard of anyone doing it before. Let us know how the search goes.

Excellent ! Thank you for the responses. Sandy, If you would be so kind as to message me a starting point for finding a source, I appreciate any information. I'm keeping the vinyl, it looks great and is the original. I want to dress the GTS up with a glass top for special occasions. The tinted and IR coating are certainly what I want. Thanks ! I'm excited with the starting point and responses ! David Current: F355 GTS, from Sport Auto, 06 Maserati Coupe Cambio Corsa. I have never heard of it being done. FYI, the removable roof panel on the Koenigsegg has a glass middle section that works well. Boxer Current: F40, F50, 612, 430 Scuderia Past: 360 Modena, 360 Challenge, 550, 575, 365BB, 512BB, 456 GT, F355 GTS, 365 GTB/4 Daytona, 308 GTB |

I'll have to dig pretty deep through my inbox to find the answer to the question of who makes it - if I get lucky, I'll repost. Otherwise, try doing a Google search. I do know this though - there was a F355 carbon fiber top available from the factory for a short while. It's very rare but it's out there. | |
