Default Passenger door hard to close suddenly..

Hello all,

I had some work done to the car that required to door panel be removed. I got the car back and now the door is really hard to close and requires a pretty good slam to close. I assume it may be a fit issue with the door panel removal....or maybe they "tweaked the door" accidentally. Is this common or are the doors sturdy?

Many thanks,

Shane

Thanks Brian,

are the doors delicate or is it likely a fit issue after the removal of the door panel...?

It's not an ice cube, it is an automobile.

Take it back to them and have them make it work like it did before they strated.

It is hard to comment in detail when you don't know what is wrong but the facts remain, it worked well before, it does not now. In between someone worked on it. It is not the toughest door and latch in the world but I suspect we are not talking about wear and tear here. I am also not throwing anyone under the bus here. People fix cars. People are not perfect. Sometimes we miss something. Have them take care of it. If you get "a dog ate my homework" story you will know who you are dealing with.

HA HA gents.......thanks for the help Brian. After further inspection by me in the daylight it does appear the door panel is not installed fully forward and is making contact.....car is going back this morning to correct.

Happy Holidays,

Shane
