Good morning lifers! Gertrude's Tubi exhaust, while still very functional and usable, is dinged up something fierce. Lots of dents and a few bottoming outs. While it is not a big deal for the functionality and the sound, I am spending a fair amount of money on her restoration and it will look very silly to do all that and put on a 6 out of 10 exhaust. It will look out of place. Suggestions on exhausts for a carbed 308? Also, anyone know what the best avenue is to sell the used exhaust + things like dual points, US bumpers etc...? - Brett ----------------------- Current: 1978 308 GTB (25823) Past: Other: 2011 Audi A6 Avant |

I would get another Tubi. On the parts, you should be able to list them on FML and in the classifieds here. Boxer Current: F40, F50, 612, 430 Scuderia Past: 360 Modena, 360 Challenge, 550, 575, 365BB, 512BB, 456 GT, F355 GTS, 365 GTB/4 Daytona, 308 GTB |

I have a Nouvalari that sounds great and can be had for half the price of a Tubi.

Brett, If you want the classic look, consider the Mille Miglia exhaust. There are sound as well as finish options. Mille Miglia Barry |

Tubi is the only way to go, if in the case of catalytic converters, get rid of them ,and replace with Larini test pipes. !! ,.just my 2 cents,,good luck , oh by the way ,mine has been on for 12.5 years, with no problems, they are solid stainless steel, and very reliable and durable it seems as well,

Seems like there are some good suggestions on here - Nuvolari, MM, Tubi, etc. Another thought is to build an exhaust from off-the-shelf parts from Borla, etc. I've had great luck with selling parts on ebay, for what it's worth. I usually take a ton of pics and try to be as detailed as possible in the ad. OEM exhausts are usually tough to give away due to the heavy shipping weight and low demand in general, but it's still worth giving it a shot. Other parts do well even in used condition. |

I am debating this for my Tubi, even though it has a few bumps and scrapes, either: Get a pro to shine it up or get it painted black, similar to Barry's pics above logic is, this is only cosmetic issue, it is a Tubi and it sounds great Thoughts? - Brett ----------------------- Current: 1978 308 GTB (25823) Past: Other: 2011 Audi A6 Avant |

i put a ANSA sport on there. not too loud at idle and driving around, but when you go up the revs, it becomes loud enough. sounds similar to stock, but meatier. and it looks nice, not shiny, in the back of the car.
