I'm on the lookout for a 308 GTS, and want the whole analogue experience. The only problem is that carb 308s are getting a little long in the tooth.

I've seen some chat about ITBs and other upgrades to the FI systems in I's and QV's.

Thinking outside the box, has anyone considered putting carbs on a QV?

I like this idea 'cause I would get
latest mechanics (4 valve heads) & improved gearbox
(some) rust protection
(perhaps) lower ks
updated interior

Has anyone done this? Is it practical
(for example would the 2v manifolds fit?)

Or am I just a crazy luddite?

I know someone did this to their 3.2 Mondial. The issue is finding the manifolds that will fit. I believe there used to be an Australian company that made them (that's what this fellow used) but I don't think they're making them any longer. You should be able to look us this thread on Ferrari Chat ;-)
