Default Ciao Daves'sF1

The 355 is gone to a new home after 12 years of fond memories.

I bought it new and kept it up to the standards of the Ferrari community. Lavished care on it and had lots of fun in it but it was time to move on.

The heart feels a little empty tonight.

Ciao, old pal, enjoy your new life

Dave- Very nice car and someone is getting a good one. Will let you know as soon as I hear from Eric on the fobs and PIN.

Are you looking for a newer replacement?

Never easy to part company. Especially after 12 years. Hope there is something to fill the void in the pipeline?

I've never done this... Yet. Happy for your tough decision. As Taz mentions, any replacement?

I still have the 550 to keep me occupied and put a smile on my face.

Another milestone, hopefully I'm selling the Brabham BT29, the car in my avatar, tomorrow to a guy who has flown in from Australia to finalize the deal.

I totally re-built that car 13 years ago, put over 50 races on it.

Time once again to move on, but I think I'll keep the avatar just to remind me. It was/is a fantastic car.

Wow, pretty cool stories. Glad you're still enjoying the 550 - every FL member should have one (and most do).

In all the time I owned Dave'sF1, the only problems I ever had was a suspension light one time that led to me learning more about shock actuators than anyone should know and the normal alarm siren problem.

I even got to the point where I figured out how to modify a Corvette actuator to work in a Ferrari. Coincidentally the car now has a Corvette siren as well.

Strange bedfellows, no?

The car has never failed to start, run perfectly, and has never let me down in any way. This includes probably a dozen or so track events.

So is there a new arrival you are making space for?

I like the black wheels. Wish I could find some for my black 355.

Any more pics of the Brabham?

The 355 looked really well done - nice to see a owner selling a well kept car.
