Default 328 driver's side door

Is there a problem with the driver's side door alignment relative to the rear quarter panel on the 328 GTS model? Someone told me they typically don't line up & that it's a production flaw, but I find that hard to believe. Thanks. John

Not that I know of, my '87 - 328 lines up fine, it could be that the hinges / joints
are loose or that it bent, this can be fixed.

regards

Never seen it before and I've seen plenty of 328's. My brother's certainly didn't have it.

The hinges can - but don't always - loosen and sag a bit over time. But that can happen with most any car. Mine were adjusted slightly about 5 or 6 years ago.

High probability that previous owners used the door to get in and out and thus the distortion ??? w/ smiles Jimmy

Yes. That's quite likely, and that could easily account for it.
