My name is David F. I currently work for Mid Atlantic Motorwerkes in Harrisonburg, VA. New to the Ferrari scene but have always been an enthusiast. Have a few questions for 308 gurus. There are two coolant temperature sensors on this car, one in the cluster and one by the shifter. Wondering where the the sensor for the instrument cluster coolant temp. is located? I have a workshop manual but it isn't as helpful as I had hoped. Thanks for your time. |

Under the intake manifold, there is a water manifold that connects the coolant outlets for the cylinder heads. The temp sender for the gauge is threaded into the backside of that piece. If you look in through the oil filter you should see it. |

The temp. sensor in the lower tranny case / oil sump near the shift rod is an oil temp sensor. JD |

You're servicing a Ferrari for someone and can't even tell an oil temperature gauge from a coolant temperature gauge?

I dont want to sound offensive, but when did he say he was servicing a customers car, and when did he say he couldnt tell the gauges apart? He asked which engine sensor (on the engine) went to which gauge. | |
