Default 348 Cabin Filter???

When I bought her, I tried everything and all worked besides the radio but that's another story.

When I turn the fan on, I get pieces of black/dark grey filter foam about the size of a penny or half that size. Is there a cabin filter that I can remove/replace? I looked in the repair manual and couldn't find anything.

It looks like a stage 2 aquarium filter, it's the same material as the picture below but flat... I would say less than a 1/4 in thick.....

Anyone have any idea where this thing is located?

to be honest I didn't even know this existed in the 348...guessing there is one in my Mondial T too....will need to explore.

PS, for the record, I know the 456 has one, but it is so cheap and easily recreated that I would do as you and contact WETPET for replacements.

Not sure about the Mondial t I will however tell you that in the case of the 348&355 there is no filter in the cabin to filter out the air.
Do not recall seeing one when I opened up my heater/air box unit to fix the flap which had come adrift from the little motor that closes it for recirculation purposes.

So wetpet may be on to something.

On the front, I have a passenger intake on the spoiler, but it's for the A/C. So would it be inside the front compartement?

I looked where the recirc flap is and saw nothing....

Weird....

I have been checkingn around and some say it's a condenser filter that collects moister from the A/C......still not sure but I'M still searching.

And I'm not paying a crazy price to replace it, $10.00 or less, because I have the same thing in my 50 gal aquarium filter.

you have to take off the bottom panels on the 328 just behind the spoiler. best done on a lift. it has fresh air intakes with fans and a 4" dia meter heater hose.

ecs may be a good person to pm
