Default 308 Door Lock Mechanisms

Ok so both my door locks could do with renewal, car is over thirty years old.. can anyone advise if lock mechanisms are shared with any Fiat/Lancia/Alfa as Ferrari part predictably is crazy money. Ideally I need one for each door.

Thanks

Mine are not shared in terms of locking mech. I'll post pics later as I 'reparied' mine a couple months ago.

My internal electrics say BOSCH and BMW....so, wouldn't be surprised to know FIAT is in there as when mucking about I noticed FIAT on my window motor item.

will let you know, but my pics don't really show a mfgr, as either too dark or in a hidden place: I didn't take them off all the way but will as I'm replacing the entire lock with a NOS from salvage.

Update, the locks are actually fine, it is the door latches (IE. The mechanism that the door closes on) that are faulty, causing the lock to not catch. Trying to find some used ones, or it's $$$$$$$$$$$ to Ferrari

SO, IF I understand correctly it is the flipper part that the door's knob [lack of a better term] seats into?

http://www.ricambiamerica.com/produc...ucts_id=216495 Part 101

listing the door lock at $1,500+ for one set!...for that price I could have someone mold it, and rub it on a Vestal virgin's body into a silk lined box....

Does that really require a new/replacement part or can one rebuild it?

Unless this is a show model, I'll bet some DIYer can rebuild it.
