Hi Guys,

Just thought I would share my new purchase with you. I have bought this orignal gold 308 GTB through Sal Garcia from Waterfront Automobili in San Fran and importing to Australia. It is feels great to be part of something special and I feel privileged to be able to own one of these beautiful cars. Sal saids he has serviced this car for over 25+ years and it has been well looked after so hopefully I will have many years of enjoyment from her.

Even today these new cars would fit into the newest cars of today on appearance, i doubt performance wise they could keep up though. Just goes to show what you can have if you look after your car.

Stunning colour. Looks a bit like Oro Chiaro or Grigio Ingrid - can you enlighten us?

Congrats! They're lovely cars.

Oro Chiaro 106-Y-137 is the paint colour I believe, certainly one of very few that was painted this colour at the factory.

Hi,

good to see another 308 in Brisbane. When do you expect to have it on the road here?

Congratulations on your purchase.

As a fellow Aussie (Sydney) who has toyed with bringing in a 308 from the UK, I'm curious to know if you have worked out what needs to be done to meet ADR's then rego?

Cheers,

Bob.

Hi Reid,
Great looking 308. Congrats! That is a rare colour but I do like the look of it.

I was admiring the pictures and you are importing it all the way to Australia, I got looking at it and the thought struck me - Isn't the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car for you? I'm sure you made a good purchase to justify the transportation costs. You won't mind the left hand drive? Kind of makes it tougher when you want to pass someone. Just wondering why you didn't search for a car with right hand drive. Unless you did and simply couldn't locate one you were pleased with.

If you want me to look at the car before it ships (if it has not) let me know. Would be happy to do so.

Nice car.

Welcome to F.L.

Pete, I drive LHD in the RHD UK all the time. Once you get used ot it, not a big deal at all. Actually prefer a manual LHD to a manual RHD as shifting with my right hand is much more natural (and quicker) than my left.
