when i was out in the 308gtsi the other night,i had the lights on and the wipers. when i operated the passenger window the battery light glowed, also when i braked.am i just using to much power that the alternator can't keep up or is the alternator belt loose? i would check but can't seem to distinguish which belt it is! cooling seems fine as always behaving fine,so would lead me away from slack drive belt.was serviced 1500 miles ago. the light doesnt glow when operating driver window though! maybe a resistance thing eh? any comments recieved gratefully. also after leaving for a few days she will fire, then want to start but then dies. by the time she dies the fuel injection has flooded the hell out of her! she always starts after rolling down a slope in second though. then is fine when out and about. shall i try a bigger battery or something? these are niggles ,i just like to nip problems in the bud though. can i remove a cold start device somewhere ,that floods the bloody thing every time. ![]() make me happy or i may get a skoda.woodyz. |

First of all, I am definitely not an expert (nor close). My thoughts about the windows is that the passenger side window might be using more battery juice because its gears need re-greasing. The driver's side window probably gets used frequently, therefore isn't as sticky as the the passenger window. As for the other problems, maybe you just need to replace your current battery.
