On offer from Mike Sheehan... We are pleased to offer 1985 USA model 308 GTS QV s/n 57943, a double-Platinum and First in Class winning 308 that could easily be returned to the show circuit or driven and enjoyed as an exceptional example of the breed. It also comes with the complete and voluminous service and ownership file, the original tool roll for the tools with the full tool set, plus the jack kit and the jack bag and the original exhaust system. As always we offer the best 308 GTS QV, best price on the market today at $39,950. This 308 GTS QV has had all major mechanical components serviced through its life and so the engine, transmission, brakes and suspension work as new. This is a wonderful driving 308 GTS QV, and all controls are light to the touch and operate seamlessly. The syncros work smoothly, the clutch grips quickly and the car can be thrown into corners with total ease and confidence. Thanks to a Tubi system, this 308 GTS QV has a wonderful exhaust sound through the RPM range. The original exhaust system is also included to allow the new owner to return the car to "as delivered" condition. The body is straight and dent free. The Metallic Silver (Argento FER 101/C) paint is near flawless. There is no evidence of accident or rust repairs to the body, underside or chassis. The body, paint and interior are all original and in excellent condition, and look like they are from a near new Ferrari. The trim, gaskets, window glass and lenses are all very good to excellent original. The black rubber bumpers are excellent with no discoloration. It is fitted from new with the Factory optional 205/55 VR 16" front wheels and tires and 225/50 VR 16" rear wheels and tires. The interior is finished in exceptionally nice Blue leather and like everything else on this Ferrari, they look like they are from a near new car. The door panels, carpets and dash are also all in excellent condition and look near new. The car makes excellent power with no smoke, and has excellent oil pressure. The suspension is firm yet compliant, and the brakes stop the car effectively and evenly. Second gear synchro is very good, both when warm and when cold. All the switches and gauges are fully operational, including the Blaupunkt radio. There are only 5,589 miles since this Ferrari had a $11,904.66 cam-belt 30k service, and a full A/C service. 308 GTS QV s/n 57943 has won a First in Class at the Cavallino Classic in 1998 with the previous owner, Platinum at Concorso Italiano in 1999, and both a Platinum and the award for Best Contemporary Ferrari at the FCA International Meet (best post-1974 Ferrari at the meet) in 2002 with the current owner. |

I saw the mailing earlier today and sent it to a few friends. Honestly, where could you park US$40k and feel safer about it? Not in gold at US$1,000 per ounce. This vehicle has intrinsic value. And, wow, it's gorgeous!

Nice looking QV. Do all US 308's have that rediculous box/vent thing around the exhausts? My Euro QV looks much nicer from behind Archie |

![]() Yes, all the US models I've seen have the wrap - probably emissions related. The Euro version is much nicer... Colonel1961 - - - - - - - - Current: 599 GTB Fiorano F1 Former: 308 GTS QV; F355B; 360 Modena Spider F1; F430 F1 (2); 612 Scaglietti F1; 550 Maranello | |

Yes with all the US laws, the later 308's have the square ass. And the gay front spoiler with no driving lights, I can deal with the front bumper sticking out! ncng |

So elegant in silver.... Archie, even the US Mondials were straddled with that box. Funny, I never noticed that the Euros didn't have it, and they look much better that way. "Liberals are the pallbearers of societies" '88.3 Testarossa '83 Mondial QV (sold!) |
