Last week I took the white car for a drive to the Porsche factory and museum (magnificent building in white with many white cars, mostly racing, including 6 917s lined up of which 2 were white), Schlumpf collection and Essen Technoclassica. Seems the recession has not hit some dealers at Essen with big prices being asked-average looking BB512 for €129k and '73 911S Targa for €95k, for instance. A great driving week of nearly 3000km fast driving on Autobahns and mountain twisties in the Black Forest. Roll on FLED#2! |

| Great pictures but the prices seem more than a bit unrealistic......

Prices at Essen seemed crazy, especially the 911s. How about a '72 911E 2.4 Targa with a 2.2T motor for €45,000? Or a '70 911E with flared rear arches for €80,000? It seemed that condition over originality drove these prices. Which makes them even more crazy in my books. Nice Ferrari 328s seemed to be around the €60,000 mark.
