Whilst they can be set up to be extremely firm (for track use) they can also be set up for the road. Power was supposedly down on the 3carb long nose models due to some sort of error at the factory but apparently the dry sump LM engine made them quite harsh for road use.
All the short nose GTB Cars were built with vents behind the rear wheels.
Welcome to FL ! Thanks for your comment which is totally correct imo. One of the differences between the series 1 and series 2 comp. 275 cars was (besides many other things) the much thinner alloy body of the series 2 cars.

TT- Welcome. Very pretty car. Tell us about yourself in Member Intros below. Looks like you have quite a stable. It also looks like an owner got tired of bending wire wheels.

Thanks Guys for all your kind words and warm response.

I purchased it in July, from Fiskens interestingly enough. I will post some further pictures when I can. It is currently setup for racing and is extremely firm and 'cammy'.

I am currently having some work done on the car, which includes:

Removing the roll cage
Removing the modern racing seats and replacing them with the originals faced in blue cloth
Replacing the wheels for the original outside laced, Borrani's

I've already addeding some silencing as previously the side exhausts were just brutally loud and impossible to live with.
It's a lot of fun to drive if slightly mad!

I've seen your car at Fiskens in october '10. A beauty. If I remember right, your car was the cover story of a "Cavallino" report together with its brother, a long nose 275 GTB/C both from a famous english collector (If your car is 07407)!?

Yes the very same 7407 owned by the same man. And I'm still trying to find that write up!

Yes, the world is small. The write up is in Cavallino No. 163 (February / March 2008 edition). I remember having talked with Mr. Fisken on some changes of your fantastic 275 GTB/C. The car seemed to be specially prepared for historic racing needs, also in the engine bay area. If I remember correctly, the previous owner was Mr. Bamford, and the car was driven by his son in historic racing over the years ?

At the time of the Cavallino report, your car had the beautiful outlace Borrani wire wheels, so I guess you have them too with the car. They look spectacular.

No this is the car being worked on at DK Engineering. I believe the car to the left is their 250 LM.
