Default Time to say goodbye:275

I just signed the final agreement to let go of my cherished 275 alloy...
The ball has fallen off the cliff, so to speak. The notion has been on my mind for some time now. I wish I can put in few words as to why. That does not come easy. Why would one do such a thing if the satisfaction is total. Behooves me. At least, I can say that is was not out of financial or otherwise. This has been an internal struggle within.

The process has begun and if all goes as planned, she should be under the care of a happy new owner. As for myself, ... this is a torment. But then, thinking positive, ....it is onward and upward, I hope. Just wanted to inform you all of this. Thanx for reading. w/ smiles Jimmy

You can take comfort in that you took care of a classic and did a fine job AAANNNNNNDD in the fact you have several more AMAZING cars! Congrats to the new owner, that car is stylish!

Thanx for the comfort, JayG. At least, one of the main reasons for my decision was this frustration of owning such a fine car in this country, Japan, a land of congestion, speed limits of 50kph on streets and 80kph on tollways. I can go on 3rd gear at 3,000rpm and get a ticket to go with it. This car was demanding, it simply wished to go faster and faster.

Sorry to hear that Jimmy . I am sure it was not an easy decision but no doubt one that was taken after much contemplation. Unfortunately congestion and restriction seems increasingly to be the way of life. However I am of the opinion that as one door closes, another opens. So as you say onwards and upwards! Very best wishes!

Jimmy- At least you will have fond memories of her forever, just like I have for my old Daytona. Your Daytona, with CD ignition, is much happier at low speeds and makes a really fine consolation prize. Let us know what you intend to get next. Maybe one you could ship somewere interesting for driving without it being the end of the world if she gets scratched.

Jimmy......I like to think of us a temporary caretakers of these special cars from Maranello. Although we may hold the "ownership title" our time with these cars is not permanent. You obviously have taken great pride in your care for this 275. Thank you for sharing your pictures, your experiences and your time with the GTB. We all benefitted from your contributions.

best

Thanx for the solace, guys. It truly has been an anguish. Happiness, anguish, frustrations, almost despair, ...all in a bag like a shake & bake ?
Admiration for the car was intense, so was the frustration. Driving to and from work. Probably, people looked at me as if I were a fool to do such things. Sorry guys, I am ranting again. w/ smiles Jimmy

Thank You, Steve. Suffice to say, it is almost as if you have known and dated this gorgeous girl of your dream, but you felt as if you are not befitting for her because you cannot make her truly happy. w/ smiles Jimmy

I know what you mean Jimmy. Fortunately we do have some more options for our cars over here. I took the BB to Sebring on Sunday. And my wife and I just finished building a home in the mountains with some of the best driving roads I have ever travelled. The Ferrarris will get a taste of the mountains next spring and summer. I will do my best to keep all the "girls" happy.

Don’t drive yourself crazy because it’s time to say good bye.

Smile because it happened - you are a lucky guy!

Driving the car didn't make a whole lot of sense - better than letting her sit and not making any sense.

Smart man

Everything and everybody make full circle, some of wider radius and some narrower. It is a joy to have made the journey of full circle.

I trust you had a very delightful full 360 with your beloved 275, Jimmy! -And on goes the journey... Good luck my friend

Salve,
Capo

The bad news: Time flies
The good news: I'm the pilot

You cannot make life longer but you can make it wider and also much higher.
