Very interesting. Never would have thunk it. But then the last five Z06 Corvettes I had and the 575M would all eat my old Daytona, so I guess progress counts for something. I had one of the 285 hp Euro 308 GTS cars with no A/C or anything extraneous, and it was really quick. Did not think it would beat a GTC, but I guess it would have. I keep forgetting that even the 275 GTB/4s were 14+ second quarter cars, and they were the 67 hot rods.

The GTC was timed at 15.1 by Car and Driver in 1967 for the 1/4 mile and 6.8 to 60mph. The 308 should have a bit higher cornering speed but otherwise it should be close, IMHO. GTC is a bit heavier but a bit higher HP and I think a bit more torque. Vitalone and I should do a test one of these days. ![]() Weight wise, there is not that much in it. I'm sure Michalone is around 1250kg, the GTC is around 1400. But the GTC has 45bhp extra. Overall, the GTC should be a bit slower in a straight line but not by all that much I would expect.
