| Anthonys Daytona is for sale ![]() 1973 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona For Sale £200,000 or Exchange (approx. €229,200 or $316,380) 1973 - FERRARI 356 GTB/4 - DAYTONA Chassis no:16531 is one of 158 RHD Daytona's imported to the UK . Finished in Blue Ribot Metallic with full tan hide (black inserts) and tan carpets. Complete with tool roll, hand book and Borrani wheels (9" rear) 26,281 Miles with interesting history file In October 2008 it obtained the CLASSICHE certification of authenticity from the factory in Italy. Ordered new, by Maranello Concessionaires Ltd, the official Ferrari importer for the UK, to be used as their demonstrator. Allan Mapp of Maranello confirmed that the car was loaned to Prince Charles for a week in 1973. The car was sold in July 1973 for the sum of £9,250 In the late 80's the car was owned by John Coombs, famous "patron" of the 1960's - 1970's, racing Jaguars and Ferrari's. In 1988 the car was sold for £210,000 to Modena Engineering Ltd In August 1990 the car was sold for £400,000 with 17,500 miles In June 2000 the car was sold to Mr Mosely for £69,990 The car was then purchased by me in June 2005 The car was loaned to BBC TOP GEAR and used for the December 2008 television program where James May (in a boat) races Richard Hammond (in the Daytona) from Porto Finno (Italy) to St Tropez (France). This episode was one of TOP GEAR'S most popular episodes and had been repeated on TV, both in the UK and globally many times. There have been over 260,000 hits on UTUBE. This car has been featured in various car magazines including the front cover of CLASSICCAR October 2008. The factory claimed an engine output of 352 BHP when new. In August 2008 the car was tested on a dyno and the engine horsepower output was 352 BHP. Exactly the same, 35 years later! Car still looks mint. That was a great episode. Remember the police pulled them over thinking it was stolen, which I found funny. Who steals a car, then points a big SUV with cameras out the back at it to get lots of attention? |

No, i don't think so. I am prety sure Anthony still has it. He told me the other day he is looking for a new project car! [ must be nuts ]! Boxer. Have you seen the price of Barchetta's reciently, they must have put on £40,000 [ i new i should have kept mine] |
