HELP!! Cant get Ferrari out of my head I do OK, over 500k, my own business, nice house, big mortgage, the usual story- Dying for a 2+2- I have 3 little ones, of which 2 are boys 4 and 7. Here's the question. Do I get the 365 GT for 120K which will appreciate and is gorgeous but may break me or the safe 365 GT4 for 40 grand or so but not really anything better than a 7 series BMW?? Have a few collectables now but come on.. Ferrari is Ferrari! Talk me into the 69 365 please! |

Welcome to FL. Sounds like a nice headache. Are you set for a 2+2 ? I understand the logic behind this. Neverthless, I suggest you take your time, enjoy the torture, and find a car that you really want. However, if driving with passengers your thought, then the classics 2+2 like you mentioned would be great. You can chime in the other site TomYang where the vintage gearheads and devotees congregate for comradrie. Exactly, what models are you thinking of ? w/ smiles Jimmy |

you can buy my former steed of ten years; very early queen mother (January 1968), 11199. It is for sale again thru Mike Sheehan. Last of the swoopy, classic 1960s Pininfarina designs w/ the venerable 2-cam Colombo v-12; 4.4 liters, 320hp. And you can scare three of your friends for half the price of the two seat version. 1968 Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 Serial Number 11199 - main page |

| Most 2+2 Ferrari [ and other marks as well] are not huge in the back, and with a boys of 4 and 7 it will soon be a squash, talking from experience, they will grow out of it before you know it, so you might as well get a 2 seater, i am sure they will enjoy being in the front more that the back and it will give you more opportunities to drive the car, as all three will need a go! [ plus your wife]. I don't think you can be that broke, living in the area you do, so keep the 7 series and get a nice Dino, you will love it, the kids will love it, and a Dino should hold its value well? If you must go down the 2+2, i would chose the 456, very under rated car, fair amount of room in the back, and will probably have lower running costs tahn an older car. Will it be special enough, only you can decide! |
