That's the early trunk version with friction drive. By chance, do you have the 'knock-off' wire hub caps?

When you can, would you take more pictures of the trunk area. Specifically what 'appears' to be hinges or something near the top of the trunk opening. The four round 'grommets' of some type in the seat back are unusual. Perhaps hinges for the trunk were added. It appears the car was Como Blue originally. What is the item in the trunk on the right side above the tire? Appears to be a piece of foam? Thanks, Jim |

I do have the Knock off's and the grill and headlights but they are all in a box that I am still trying to locate. When my parent's built their ranch, all of this stuff was moved from their old house to this one and most of the misc. car/performance stuff is still in boxes packed in the storage van. I will locate the stuff but when is the issue. The piece above the tire in the picture is not foam. There is a hinge at the top of the trunk and there is a piece of hose over the original friction drive attached to the motor. I will take some more detailed pics when I get a chance. |

That is a worthy restore IMO. Good luck on it, looks like fun.

| I am seeking some help from anyone on the forum regarding the restoration of a Bimbo Racer... I am seeking information for the 'pinion' for the rack and pinion steering for a Bimbo Racer. Just a sketch with rough dimensions will suffice. I am also seeking rough sketch dimensions for the windshield for a Bimbo Racer. Please email at cjonesonthelake@gmail.com if you can assist me. Thanks! |
