I am looking for a shop to do a 250 GT PF restoration. Any recommendations?

Just out of curiosity does it need to be in Europe and what standard are they looking for.

A low quality cheesey Classiche quality or Pebble Beach quality?

Good questions, I was going to recommend Patrick Ottis as well since he is local (to me), was there a few others you had in mind.

Is the car in Europe and staying there or coming to the US? If it's anywhere near England GTO Engineering has put together some nice 250 series cars from what I've seen.

Thats why I asked what the desired standard is. While I am a big fan of the move away from creating Pebble Beach Barbie dolls the European standard has been far to utilitarian for many tastes. There is a little to much of "use this, it will fit" for many tastes going on over there. Many do not realize many of the Classiche subcontractors are in the USA because they cannot find the abilities in Europe.

It will cost more here but most feel it is money well spent.

As for who specifically find out if the car can come over here and we can get into that then. There are a few good choices.

nice to see you here, Mr. Baber.

If car is to be restored on the West Coast, I recommend Zac Dugger of DGR Performance near San Diego. Zac has had some Cavallino and Rodeo Drive winners, but also believes in driving them - he goes to the Mille Miglia each year to keep his customer's cars on the road. I'll give you phone numbers if you want them.

Much as I admire and respect you Bryan, I have to disagree with that. There are very high quality restorers in Europe, and many very poor ones in the USA for that matter. People like Hietbrink or Roelofs are among the very best, and they are not the only ones.

Patrick is an excellent option, but I've chosen Dennison International for my own restoration. His rates are $78/hr and work happens quickly. The facilities are massive and he has tools, experience, and capabilities not found in other facilities.

Their complete restorations have won Pebble Beach Concours. Customers include many famous Ferrari collectors such as Jon Shirley, who uses them exclusively as well as several other private collectors who don't like their name in the public (so I'll refrain). One of the most capable shops around and at rate of the low US Dollar this would be an advantage. Every month I receive a very detailed billing statement and a CD-ROM of photos of all work performed.
