change it every 15k but nothing about it needing it done every Three years, if that was

so on my 2003 it would have been changed three times by now at the cost of 4.5k every

three years which would total 14.500 in cost. Every three is very UN necessarily.

I would like to hear back from other 360 owners about when they had there timming belt

changed and at what cost
Hi John
As per Netman and Killer that was my point, it is called "peace of mind"

John- Welcome to Ferrari Life. Your 02 owners manual does not say cambelt changes are required at 15K miles, and there is no Ferrari for which a 15K mile cambelt change interval is recommended. The OM says 30,000 miles or 3 years, whichever comes first. You also have the same recommended change interval for the auxiliary belts.

No bulletin required because your owners manual already has the correct interval.

Lots of old wive's tales about Ferraris, so whoever told you the interval was 15K miles was blowing smoke at you.

Default 360

Hello - Just joined Ferrari Life. Looks like a great site. Forgive me but I am about to joint the Ferrari world. I will likely be looking to purchase about a 2001 360 convertable. I have much to learn and be carefull of and thught this site would be the best place to get a lot of education.

So first, please excuse my first "real silly" question. As I start to shop for this 360, I see them listed as "Modena" and "Spider"! Is there a difference or are they one and the same 360?

Thanks in advance for the help. Looking forward to learning much, much more!

Default Hello Larry

Welcome to the forum. The difference between the two is; the Modena is a hard top or coupe and the Spider is a convertible. There are also Scuderia and Challenge series models. Enjoy the self education process as it makes the search and ownership that much better.

And ask as many questions as you need.

Bob- That is a very late 04, maybe Summer 04 build, with a SN of 136963. What is the build date on the manufacturer's plate?

Very pretty car.

The plate has March 2004 so she's a spring baby.

Thanks for the complement. This car is missing a couple of things I was originally looking for like shields and challenge grills but this car was too much of a beauty to pass up and I'm not really hung up on those types of things anyway. I could always add challenge grills anyway. This car had just under 6k. About the only thing I could find fault with was a little wear on the window controls. Well, she no longer has under 6k and I'm having such a god time I may make her a daily "sunny day" driver.

Default 2004 360 modena

Hello

Nice car I just bought one back on 10/10/11 and was very happy with my car have not had to much time to drive only 1k but want to share things about my car there are some weak points in the way they were made the biggest thing is look at ALL hose clamps the are Fixed Sizes and what has happen to is the clamps stays the same size or come lose after a while as the rubber shrinks and becomes brittle with heat the clamp stays at one size( I have 12K ) Especially the OIL hoses out of the resiovor tank were you check the oil, I had them start leaking and was getting air bulbs in the oil and could lead to a catastrophic damage to the Engine and spill oil down on the splash shield then on to the rear tires, so I replace the hose with made by good year or you will be pay 100 bucks to buy them from Ferrari but the best thing I did was replace the clamps with a VERY special clamp made by IDEAL, called a FLEX-GEAR clamp ALL stainless steel ( # 47010) which will keep the Constance pressure on the hose no matter how the hose contract and expands they cost about 10 to 12 buck what a deal if they were made by Ferrari the would be 70 to 90 bucks,
Also tighten up the clamps that go to the manifold if that suck any air you will lose a great amount of performance and have a hard time to find out what the problem is.

Good luck with the 360 What a beautiful piece of machinery,

13 years old and looks like you just drove it off the showroom floor - any pictures of the racing seats?
