The radio is VERY confusing. My Porsche had the same radio, and I haven't REALLY learned how to use it in the 11 years that I've owned it. I got by with it, but I didn't learn all the intricate stuff about it like I do on all my other electronic toys. Just a bad design, that's it, it's not you. If you look through the book, you will be able to set everything that is important to you. Then you will remember the details on the stuff that you actually use, and forget the rest in a few weeks.

Mortoni I live in Placentia and own an 03 identical to yours. I believe I have made all of the upgrades to mine you might consider making. We should meet up. Have you been to cars and coffee in Irvine? I can show you how to gain some sound out of your exhaust below 5k. Also contact Randy over at RMT motor sports. Great service at great rates. |

Preliminary results in from dealer, CEL caused by blown intake manifold. Est. cost to replace $2k. Additionally, I will have belt service and annual fluid service. Tab should be about $5500 all in, but after that all should be done and ready to rock and roll. As part of this, i ttook some one's advice in a thread here and got OBD reader to see codes. They were 300 and 301-308 misfire (represents each cylinder). I cleared the codes and they came back, so the mechanic was able to use this info to conclude that service was needed immediately, as it was reoccurring. Still need to determine if both gaskets blown or just one, as mechanic said normally only one side goes, but I got misfire on all 8 cylinders? Car to be ready mid next week, so until then I just have to day dream about the 1-2 hours I was able to drive the car |

Ouch! That's sort of a nasty surprise. In my opinion, you're just making up the difference in dollars between auction and market retail pricing. Do you know the life left on the clutch? If you have said that already, I apologize for the repeat. Raj

@ idrivem5 i agree, and this way i was in control of having service done, so i am ok with this. They said only 11% wear on the clutch, So that is great news! Btw my other mechanic told me to have them inspect the motor mounts and rear trans mount as well, so I am having those Poked at as well. When all is said and done, it appears as though I will still come out ahead, but I have my fingers crossed. |
