Or normal dust... The headers are brand spanking new and were installed about 500 miles ago by the F dealer. I've been driving on some dusty roads but I wasn't expecting this much dust in the engine bay. I don't hear any weird noises but I can't tell how it should be since the headers were installed when I bought the car .

looks like an even disbursement of dust, so I might be inclined to agree with your dusty road being the problem. Wash when engine is cold.

Our Spider got that dirty after a 300mi weekend trip. So it doesn't look excessive to me.
