After posting here I was thinking... I got the car 4 weeks ago with almost a year of factory warranty... than why should I spend the $350 for a new one? Some facts: got it a month ago a week into having the car I got stranded with no battery and the SALES person came to road side assist me. (I was a mile away from him) drove less than 250 miles in the month I owned the car even bigger issue with F1 because of bad/weak battery. I went back to the dealer and ask the sales person to check if the battery is under warranty... he called the service manager and the answer was "YES, but since the cr was driven less than 2500 miles a year than NO" uh? I was like I have the car for a month HOW can i drive it for 2500 miles a year you guys should absorb the charge since it came certified, sales person nod his head agreeing than his manger came out and said NO....... MY GOD! what a clown I bought on the same day 2 ferraris... mine and my employee came and got a california because of me... not to mention I got a Maserati from them as well a couple of years ago (and dou to upgrade next year!). I'm taking the car tomorrow for them to check if there is something wrong that discharge the battery and they better replace it if it's bad! Horrible customer service! that guy should be fired ... willing to loose a client for what I calculated as $200 their cost! The 2500 miles is a made up number to keep from buying batteries. Besides which, you do not care how many miles it was driven, you bought it and the battery should have checked good or been replaced before you picked her up, especially with a year's warranty left. Talk to the manager personally, very politely, and mention the Maserati and California. It is not your fault someone killed the battery before you bought it. If the car was Ferrari certified, you can go to FNA if the dealer refuses to make it right. I have never had a Ferrari strand me, and I would be really chapped if one did and it was not my fault. My car is driven 2-5 times a week, but only gets about 1000-1500 miles per year. I get the oil temperature up to 158 F every time I drive her. She has a four year old Interstate that has not been on a maintainer or charger for the last three years or so. On such cars, as well as on all today's cars full of ECU's, batteries are like fuel. It's part of the budget and trying to save money on this will lead irremediably to issues which will cost much more than the relatively cheap price of a battery Good you got this resolved mate! |
