When changing stock 360 wheels to Challenge do you need to change alignment or offset etc. Docf |

Doc- CS, F430, and Scud/16M wheels will fit the 360 without changes and have essentially the same offsets.

I would say, no need for an alignment even though it's always good to have one done from time to time. But I let our wheel specialist Terry shime in, to make sure |

Doc- 360 Challenge wheels are 18 in vs the 19 in CS/F430 wheels. F430 Challenge race wheels are center locks and expensive to adapt. On any purchase of new wheels and tires, I would recommend a full four wheel alignment and ride height adjustment. Guys, while on the subject. I am looking at the same swap but curious on tire sizes. Looking at the RE11 but they only have 235's vs 225's. If I go +1 on the fronts do I need to do the same on the rears? These are 19" wheels btw. Thanks

To give you an idea of the available options, here are some calculated options for different tire sizes: Rear 285/35R19 - Rim Width Range : 9"-11" Sidewall : 3.9"/99.9mm Diameter : 26.854"/682.1mm circumference : 84.364"/2142.9mm Revs/mile : 751 Revs/km : 467 Speedo : 60mph/100kmh 295/35R19 - Rim Width Range : 10"-11.5" Sidewall : 4.1"/103.2mm diff: +0.2"/+3.3mm Diameter : 27.130"/689.1mm diff: +0.276"/+7mm circumference : 85.231"/2164.9mm diff: +0.867"/+22mm Revs/mile : 743 = 1% slower Revs/km : 462 Speedo : 59.4mph/99kmh 295/30R19 - Rim Width Range : 10.5"-11.5" Sidewall : 3.5"/88.5mm diff: -0.4"/-11.4mm Diameter : 26.0"/659.6mm diff: -0.854"/-22.5mm circumference : 81.6"/2072.2mm diff: -2.764"/-70.7mm Revs/mile : 777 = +3.4% faster Revs/km : 462 Speedo : 62kmh/103kmh Front 225/35R19 - Rim Width Range : 7.5"-9" Sidewall : 3.1"/78.8mm Diameter : 25.2"/640.1mm circumference : 79.2"/2010.9mm Revs/mile : 800 Revs/km : 497 Speedo : 60mph/100kmh 235/35R19 - Rim Width Range : 8"-9.5" Sidewall : 3.2"/82.2mm diff: +0.1"/+3.4mm Diameter : 25.5"/647.1mm diff: 0.3"/+7mm circumference : 80.0"/2032.9mm diff: 0.8"/+22mm Revs/mile : 792 = 1.1% slower Revs/km : 492 Speedo : 59.3mph/98.9kmh Conclusions (if my calculations are right ) :If you move for the 235/35R19 front tires, you should go also for the 295/35R19 tires to maintain identical proportions and height increase of 7mm (and vice versa). Wheels will turn a bit slower though but in a very limited proportion (1%). You'll have to do a complete geometric alignment after such change. |

You are the man - thank you. If I need an alignment I may as well lower it a bit. Stef- You are correct about keeping a similar ratio between the front and rear tires as OEM. When that ratio approaches the 5% difference range from OEM, the ABS will start having problems.

| The standard race/track BBS 360 Challenge wheels are also made from a softer alloy than than normally street wheels. You need to be very careful as it is easy to bend a rim.

Boxer , How do you tell which BBS Challenge are for track and which are for street in the challenge style or are all Challenge wheels race/track. I have seen some that have BBS in red surrounding the lug area and some that are totally painted silver. Docf | |

The ones painted with the red BBS logos are the race versions. Although I guess one could add them onto the street versions too.

| Don't know about the red painted lug area. The ones I used to have were silver. Also they are 18" vs the 360 CS rims which are 19".

Doc- You want the 19" monolithic wheels for the CS or F430, also called Challenge style, but not real Challenge racing wheels. Like Boxer said, you can tell the difference with a measuring tape.

Doc- No, they fit perfectly. You could even put the Scud/16M 8" wide front wheels on the car and they fit perfectly. Novitec makes 19 x 9 F and 12.5 x 19 R wheels for the 360 and they fit perfectly. Dozens of owners have fitted 19" Challenge or F430 5/10 spoke wheels. There is even a thread here with photos of a 360 newly fitted with the 19" wheels. I am thinking of getting the BBS LM 18" wheels for my 360 from tire rack. They are recommending the stock tire size. The front wheels are an inch wider than stock and the rear are a half inch wider. I'm not too worried about the rear tires fitting but the fronts are of concern. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Nate |
