Default L.E.D. lights plastic cover came off!

The L.E.D. lights plastic cover came off in my Scuderia a couple of days ago. It attaches to the rest of the steering wheel with 2 tabs located at the edges. Both are broken. The lights work well though.

The obvious solution is to glue it back, but I will speak to my dealer: the car is just 2 weeks out of its warranty!

Has anyone suffered this problem before?

Current & past: 550 Maranello, F430 Scuderia
Other: Mercedes 230 SL 'Pagode', Mercedes 230 W123, BMW M3 E30 Evo II, Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 2, Porsche 993 Carrera 4S and a few other toys.

Sorry to hear that.

Do you mean the rpm LED Display integrated in upper part of the steering wheel?

Mine is pretty loose to, one tab i partly damaged but it works for now...

How did you solve it? Doesn't look like the plastic cover is possible to buy separately...

Don't tell me that the solution is to buy a new steering wheel!

A new steering wheel for just two broken tabs, oh no, what a waste Harry, is there no way to just glue carefully the 2 little tabs back? This plastic part seems to be quite fragile especially if the hands have to pass over it very often.

Lets put it this way: Be very very careful about this little plastic thing because it might just be the most expensive part of the whole car ;-)

I was able to put it in place and with a very little dot of flexible glue on each side (on the inside) make sure it fit tight and snug, should be ok now...

It's a pity that Ferrari didn't insert the shift light deeping in the steering wheel like for instance BMW did with the Performance Steering wheel.
