Really nice and I like the technical cloth much better than alcantara. Carbon fiber sills really dress up a car.

I mentioned sometime back that I ordered the Scuderia engine vents. Yes, they arrived last week. Only managed to start the installation yesterday to realise that the factory bolts securing the 430 engine vents do not fit into the threads on the engine vents of the Scuderia. The Scuderia threads are somewhat 1mm smaller in diameter. So I checked Eurospares only to find out that the part numbers listed for 360, 360CS, 430, 430 Spider, 430 Scuderia, Scuderia 16M are all the same so its going to be pointless ordering from them. So I went to one of the largest screw stockists around and found a stainless steel solution. Got the grlls installed and they look fantastic. Adds a tad bit more drama to the engine bay. Enjoy the pics. |

Thanks mate. One thing though, the weight savings are minimal. Dont expect to shave kilos off. The scuderia vents are steel in construction. The 430 is plastic on the top but has a metal like framework underneath it. So they are both pretty much the same in weight. One thing I've noticed after a hard drive, the heat that pours out through the vents is much greater in volume than before. Heat dissipation is something I'm very particular about so I'm happy with the functionality of these vents. |

Wow, that's very nice buddy! I just love it. Thanks for sharing also the screw issue. I wouldn't have guessed that there is a size difference. That's very interesting you getting a better heat dissipation. As you know, I'm always looking to involve the evacuation of heat in the engine bay. How do you explain you got a better heat dissipation? Are the vents larger than the stock one? You getting such an incredible car! Upgraded with very good taste |

Looking better your pictures, I see now why Indeed, the entire part acts as a vent now instead of several small vents. That's cool |

Malvin, it looks like you put a badge on the rear mesh. What badge is it? Do you have a closer picture?

Thanks buddy for the kind words. It's a simple modification but looks fantastic IMO. Just take note Ferrari used many spacers to move the vents flushed with the back glass cover. Some points have three spacers on top of the usual single spacer. So when you remove the bolts holding the vents, have a tarp cover the engine bay so none of these spacers fall into it. It's a real pain to hoist the girl just to get the spacers out. Quote:

| I do have a close up of the badge. Let me go get it. It's the factory F430 Scuderia badge with the Scuderia letterings masked off with carbon sticker and finished with Italian tri colors on one end.
