It might well be. Deal however is slightly different that what might have been expected.

Easily seen you had a PPI completed then!

As I was buying a Used Approved Ferrari from a Ferrari Dealer I presumed, wrongly, that it would be near flawless...still, I look on the positive side...my 16M, that I should never have sold, is coming back to me and will now be a keeper!

Lesson learned...
Irrespective of where I buy a Ferrari in future a PPI will be part fo that process as a 'standard'!

Hope you receive the news you seek on yours on Monday!

Boxer- exiting times! Hope the deal goes through as anticipated, I've got my fingers crossed!
It did take a while to find the right one, but it will have been worth the wait once you have her in the stable!!

Peter- what did I miss?? 16M coming back to you?? Great!

Jeroen, yes my 16M is coming back to me, this time for good....welcome to my 1st Ferrari keeper

The F430 Spider I purchased was lovely on the outside, it drove well too, but oh boy...not so good underneath its thin veneer, so after a thorough inspection it was rejected & I instructed the deal be fully reversed and my beautiful 16M is thankfully coming back to me on Monday. 'Bluey' is being delivered directly to my Detailers in Edinburgh and I am going down beforehand to welcome her home and ensure all is well with her. Im hopeful I'll have her back in time for FLED6

I knew once I let her go I'd made a mistake, as it's not often we acquire a one off colour, 1 of a 499 Worldwide limited edition, Ferrari F1 landmark car, let alone a unique Ferrari. So when fate stepped in, and I discovered her replacement was Frankenstein in disguise, it gave me the opportunity to get her back without too much pain and where she rightfully belongs & the Dealer has been very good about this whole unfortunate experience, once they knew just how bad 'Frankenstein' really was, as they also know it should never ever have been on sale as a Used Approved Ferrari, or otherwise, from an Official Ferrari Dealer in the 1st instance. Hopefully they fully review & audit their 'Ferrari Used Approved' checking procedures moving forward as it is clear this one slipped through what should have been a very customer focussed tight net!

I will be very relieved to put this matter to rest after 4 trying weeks and to get my 'baby' back home...thereafter, I'll just have to be extremely careful getting in and out of her so I dont damage or make my knee any worse, but I'm determined to manage and enjoy 'Bluey' fully now she's a keeper

Apologies for the mini-hijacking & topic detour of your thread Boxer..

Peter I don't think you are hi jacking the thread whatsoever - in fact it's interesting you noted the Approved Ferrari from an Official Dealer.

As you know I have had some issues with my car - in hopes it all gets sorted out the only items left are the cracked diffuser and 16M factory booklet as the salesman indicated the only item missing was the luggage and all cf was in good shape.

The sales manager even wrote I bought a very very good 16M - I asked do all their very very good Ferrari's have cracked cf and missing documents?

The sales manager has yet to respond to that e-mail.

I relied on the dealer and they simply lied - any suggestions?

After asking repeatedly for the dealers PPI - they sent it after the sale in fact weeks after.

It stated notified sales of cracked diffuser - eventually I am going to post an entire thread on the dealer and all their lies on every car forum to save someone else from enduring the same bs.

Doug...
I strongly suggest you contact FNA to lodge your official complaint & follow it up by email/letter. That’s what I did last Thursday with FNE (Ferrari North Europe) after I received the shocking Inspection Report on #160533 as not only was it faulty, it was very dangerous and should never have been on the road in its current state. I fail to comprehend how this Ferrari went near, let alone passed, a Used Approved Check. Once Ferrari became involved, and whether by coincidence or not, the 'Dealer' has been very, very keen to put right their mistake. Mind you the report was damning and left them little choice!

The F430 Spider I bought from an Official UK Ferrari Dealer has 2 pages of issues! The inspection report is supported by 234 photos showing these in graphic detail.

I am very careful buying my cars and this is the 1st time I have ever bought one without seeing, driving or having a PPI carried out. If I buy this way again a PPI will be a minimum standard requirement.

The whole point of us buying an Approved Used Ferrari is that we are supposed to be safe in the knowledge our new cars will have been put through a 190 point check and anything needing doing has been taken care of to ensure it is absolutely flawless and tip-top for us the new purchaser.

Doug, as you seem to have taken your issues as far as you can with your Dealer & without resolution, I strongly urge you to speak with FNA & get them involved asap so they can intervene and assist you....

ATB
