Well, step 3 (machine polish) of the 360 was going splendidly until I reversed my now gleaming machine out of the garage. How many thousand times have I done this and today I look one way reverse the other and catch the drivers side wing mirror on the garage pillar. ![]() No point in crying over spilt milk and all that. Any advice on where I should look for a replacement? I've found one on e-bay for GBP £480 BREAKING FERRARI 360 MODENA O/S DOOR WING MIRROR on eBay (end time 08-Feb-11 23:00:55 GMT) Tried to contact Eurospares http://www.eurospares.co.uk but can't get through to them or find the party on their website. Or should I go look for a set of carbon fibre Challenge Stradale mirrors on put them on...? (I'm making a monumental effort to remain calm by the way...... )

Ouch, I feel for you Barry. Might be worth giving Joe at Carrs Ferrari in Exeter a call and see if he can do you a deal on a replacement. Failing that - BREAKING FERRARI 360 MODENA O/S DOOR WING MIRROR on eBay (end time 08-Feb-11 23:00:55 GMT) or http://www.eurospares.co.uk/partsLis...S=&ID4=1661581 I'm not sure the CS carbon versions can be folded in and they are definately longer than the standard 360 mirror housings so width may be an issue for garage door clearance. |

Gosh, Barry,...I know how you feel. Just terrible all inside and so mad at yourself for the incident. I do admire your courage sharing this with us tho. (I think I'll kick my but several times, if I could that is, before exposing things like that). I can understand very well these things happen because in a place like Japan where everything is miniature and tight, it is more prone to such incidents. I do have my share of experiences. Give yourself a bit time to let it pass. Gotta move forward and not look back. w/ smiles Jimmy

Thanks Jimmy. We're all human and fallible. Life's too short to dwell on the trivia. Or at least that's what I've been telling myself Barry Ferrari's: 360 Modena F1, 308 GT4 Other Italians: Ducati 916, Ducati 848 DD's: RR Sport, BMW 645ci, BMW 1200GS Adv. |
