Default Fiorano Pack - 550 Barchetta?

Was the Fiorano handling pack standard on the 550 Barchetta or an option?

It was an option.

Is it worth looking for a 550 Barchetta with the Fiorano handling pack? Reading a number of reviews, body roll in cornering is mentioned as a slight negative.

I know it is a highly recommended option for the 575 but very much optional for the 550 Maranello.

Thanks.

Boxer,

A buddy of mine and I both had a 550 Barchetta at the same time. I had the FHP on mine and his did not. It definitely made a difference. In my opinion the Maranellos needed this option whether it be a 550 or a 575. But even with the FHP..........the body roll was unacceptable to me. That said, I did enjoy the Barchetta the short time I had it. For me the bigger problem was no usable roof.

I had a 550 Maranello and thought the body roll was acceptable, given that it was a GT and I never had any inclination to track it. Sounds like the 550 Barchetta is a bit worse. Not as concerned about the roof. I have kept the F50 as a Barchetta and enjoyed it throughly. Just make sure rain is not forecasted as likely.

Have to admit I am torn on the 550 Barchetta. It does sound like the FHP is a must.

Thanks.

I'd have to say it is as well (the FHP). I wonder if you could fit the more advanced GTC package on it similar to the later 575Ms.

Great idea, I will ask the head mechanic at the dealership when I talk to him later today (F40 is in for service).
