MODS:
- Tubi
- Alpine stereo/Ipod/XM/CD-6disk-changer
- In-grill RADAR detector
- Custom interior mats
- Upgraded hoses, fluids

Personal notes:
- BEAST. Lots of torque above 3k RPM
- Never, I mean never have doubts that I can pass anything on the road: Very confident this car has power when needed.
- NOT a great tight cornering car like two seaters.
- VERY confortable: Doesn't require a back dr. after a long drive.
- TUBI IS awesome!!
- Turns heads, even though many say they don't recognize it as their idea of a Ferrari: VERY good features, that show well with time, too.
- Easier maintenance than a 3x8 series.
-
-- and yes, that last pic shows it is versatile
Really Beautifull car!!

BTW You listed an Alpine stereo/ipod on your Mods?
How did you manage that? I also have a 95' model with the original Sony stereo which does not work and I have never been able to find any replacement that fits ( being just a very thin remote faceplate)
Please let me know any more information on this..
Thanks,
Ed

What you need is a head unit with a removable faceplate. From this, you separate the faceplate from the rest of the unit and put the balance in the trunk or glovebox. This is what I encountered when I bought my car.

Any recommendation on a brand?

Default 456 Stereo

I have to admit, I am not much of an audiophile. My car came with a '90s era Alpine CDA, and for an old setup, it does pretty well.

I would go with a mid range unit, as you may have to buy two of them to accomplish the feat. You have to wire the faceplate to the head unit with an extension long enough to get them away from each other. Mine was done with ribbon cable and I added a connector to the party to help with maintenance. I have seen other setups that used CAT 5 internet cable for this task it also works well. Pictures below show the setup as I encountered it, with the exception of the connector.

I should add that this system is plug and play with the CD changer in the back. One reason I have not investigated updating the system is I can't seen to find an Ipod type system that will do this...

Modifications:
Parking sensors and cruise control were already in when I bought it. The parking sensors are 'Brees' branded and are standard after-market ones I think.
The cruise control is from a Peugeot. It works very well apart from if you start the car with it turned on it won't work until you turn the car off and restart with it turned off.

I still have my original 456 stereo with the exception of the actual RADIO. Still looking to acquire that piece.

Photoshoot a couple of weeks ago in the snow. I was going to cancel because of the weather but i think the snow adds another dimension.

MUCH better and very stunning. Like the pics

BTW: Do I detect a window issue there....was a problem on these older 2+2/Non-M series.

The snow is a great backdrop. Really brings out the cars color.

Awesome pics!!!

Great looking 456 too.

The original rims look so small these days, but please don't change them! I love things that are still period, as they should have been when new. She looks great!
