Default Known Heated Seat Issue

612 Scaglietti

As per a previous thread I had noticed that the passenger heated seat would switch on, on its own.

The dealer has stated my car is not the only one, they are aware of the issue and Ferrari believe it is a software fault - currently with no fix.

I find this hard to believe, as surely it is a sensor or loose connection, as you physically have to turn a switch to activate it, and as it only happens on the passenger side, a software problem surely would casue it to happen to both front seats!

Also, it happens with no pattern (passenger/ no passenger), no discernable bump, or lateral forces.

Any other Ferrari issues like this known (or will that be too long an answer)?

So this seems to be a "hot" topic then.

Oh man....can't believe the ECU seat problems migrated to the 612.

456's had a number of them....

Try unplugging the ECU.

I would also consider, sorry, a manual bypass switch on this....Ferrari ECUs like for the seats and belts were numerous problems and way too glitzy for my liking....

most people just disconnect the things

really....too bad. guessing Bosch is going the Pininfarina model?

I really don't care too much about the electrinic gizmos, I could do fine with latching my own belt, moving my own seat, rolling down my own windows, well the latter having electric is nice....
