F550 - 575 exhaust centre section

Hello at all,
for both Ferrari 550 and 575 I developed one center section that maximizes the engine performance (in comparison to the OE muffler and/or x-pipes) as the straight pipes, and in the same time it delete the drone inside the cabin caused by the straight pipes or by some type of back boxes mufflers.
I did more tests on my 575 before to arrive at the final solution, that for me is the best, some of you have followed me last year when i explained my tests ....
I called my center section "double H-pipes", in detail there are two straight pipes connected by two little cross pipes that do sound balancing and not gas flow balancing, in this way there are not the losses of x-pipes (also if little) but the two cross pipes delete drone, I did some tests for find correct diameter and position of cross pipes.
I make this center section in three parts, in order to make easy both shipping and installation, first part is common for 550 and 575, the difference are the two pipes that are at the sides of gearbox.

The kit is composed as following:

- N1 double H-pipes with heat shield (item 1 on image)
- N2 pipes (item 2 on image)
- N2 stainless steel clamps (item 3 on image)

Kit is installable in the original exhaust system, is perfectly fitting, at the both sides, to the OE CAT and to the OE back pipes.

Weights (including clamps):
F550 Kg 7.4
F575 Kg 8

Gorgeous Fabio! They're the best looking center pipes I've ever seen.

Like Dave, I'm also interested in price & availability.

Hello guys,
it was passed one month from my last posts, due to the christmas holidays, was delivered to me only the 9th of jan ....
I saw only this morning because i was at home with fever during last 5 days!

However now are in my shop, the company worked in wonderfull way, excluding two/3 pieces used for setting machine, the other are bended without any imperfections or section restrictions...
I'm surprised of the result, much better than the bends on the original pipes, or of some other exhaust system that is on the market ....
For the other side, this company working for the automotive brands, have modern machines and more experience, that is more important ....

Follow pictures of some pipes that i have ordered (between pipes are visible also the check calibers for the pipes, that i have cad designed and manufactured by myself by means of laser cut pieces; expensive but they make guarantee of the tollerances)

Best 2107 at all!

Hello guys,
yesterday I made the first "double H centre section" for F550, now that I have the pipes expander machine (made by myself) i could make the connection without an intermediate element .
Now need welds and, last thing, the heat shield on the double H part.
As you can see, I made the support like the OE for obviously reasons ....

Now remain only the heat shield and the edge pipes cuts for clamps on the double-H.

Best at all

Fabio- Great craftsmanship, as expected. Your friend needs to compare the X-Pipe and the balance tube pipe on a dyno. He will be surprised at the results.

If I recall correctly, the H-pipe has better results versus the X?

Fabio, do you have anyone that has the full system for the 550 installed and dyno tested yet?

I've sent you a PM but haven't received a response. I'm willing to do a before and after dyno test with your full system on my 550.

Ciao nin,
PM sent now....

Yes nin about both X-pipes and double H-pipes, in combination with my 6-1 headers, I had better result of sound and performance with double H-pipes, as pe rmy experience, X-pipes make a good sound on the 550 /575 with the original headers but decrease a little bit the performance, in way perhaps difficult perceptible.

Best Regards

Fabio

I believe Bradan from the other forum performed this test on the Maranello's as well and found the same result with the H-pipe being more desirable from a performance standpoint, which to me is most important.

Thank you for the reply!
